Recent Past: Creative and Art Director at JBW Watches 2022-2025 (September)

Jessi Jacq (Jessica Jackson) began her career at Interview Magazine in 2012 as a fashion assistant and digital stylist, where she built a foundation in visual storytelling and creative production. She went on to develop her knack for creative narratives through direction under Karl Templer at Interview Magazine and Edward Enninful at W Magazine, honing in on the grasp of culture, beauty, and narrative driven imagery through social gaze. From 2021 to early 2022, she served as Art Director at Alexis Bittar, where she concepted and produced editorial campaigns, directed creative teams, and shaped the brand’s visual language across digital platforms. Most recently, she joined JBW as Art and Creative Director, leading the evolution of the brand’s visual identity, national campaigns, multi platform content, collaborations, and cultural storytelling that positioned the brand within a broader creative landscape within the watch industry.

Artist Statement:
Across my work, I explore the intersection of personal narrative and cultural ritual. Capturing moments that emerge from real spaces, lived experiences, and the nuances of my own community. I’m drawn to the question of why we do what we do: what makes our rituals meaningful, what threads hold our histories together, and how the intimate can reflect broader cultural truths. Through visual storytelling, I seek to create moments of empathy and connection, revealing human stories within the sweep of fashion, culture, and identity.
